Description

Planting Roots is a Welcome Event for LGBTTTIQQ and MOGAI communities and allies. The event will include live entertainment with refreshments and light snacks. Come out and meet people from the community and get to know McMaster.

Why this event? Sometimes students in LGBTTTIQQ and MOGAI communities may feel isolated or have fewer opportunities to meet and connect with other queer, gender-diverse, and sexually-diverse folks. This event is to facilitate such connections.

The theme of “Planting Roots” was selected for this inaugural meet & greet event since this is a time where students, staff, and faculty are starting the new school year or turning a new 'leaf' in their academic careers :-) It is an opportunity to grow as a collective as well as individually.
